MARIETTA — The Zonta Club of the Mid-Ohio Valley will host the biannual spring Unique Boutique clothing sale from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Reno Community Center, 260 Sandhill Road.
The sale will include gently used items such as shoes, handbags, clothing, coats and accessories.

Guests who arrive at 1:30 p.m. on Friday with any feminine hygiene product donation are will receive early access to the sale.
Saturday will be an all-day bag sale, which means everything that fits in one bag will be $10 regardless of the amount of items.

Volunteers and members of Zonta started setting up the tables and organized donated clothing items early Sunday afternoon.
“The whole room is going to be filled with tables and rows of clothing racks,” said Christine Lisk, club treasurer.
The Zonta Club of the Mid-Ohio Valley holds the sale twice a year and has been hosting the event for more than 40 years. For the next few days, volunteers will be spending their time folding and hanging up clothes to prepare for the two-day sale.
“We’re just getting everything ready and sorting through the bags we have right now,” said Lisk.
Lisk has been involved with the club since the 90s and each year she looks forward to the clothing sale.

Considered one of the club’s biggest fundraisers, the sale’s proceeds go toward various Zonta services and projects. The primary beneficiary is a scholarship program at Washington State College of Ohio for “non-traditional female students who are looking to further their education and make a better life for themselves and their families.”
The clothing sale is also a way for the club to raise awareness for the Delicates for Dignity Project which focuses on assistance for women in the area.
